Quantum LegioGuard has developed a patented Dual Effect Heat Pump (water sourced) to heat and chill water simultaneously as part of an energy efficient heat transfer process.
Manufactured in Australia, LegioGuard is designed to supply sanistised hot, warm, and cold water to facilities as an energy efficient alternative to traditional electric boiler or gas hot water systems. The LegioGuard system achieves this by heating all incoming potable supply (including the cold drinking water) to above 70°C therefore killing any legionella and other bacteria that may be present. The 70°C water is stored in one storage tank with a quantity then transferred to the second storage tank where it is chilled to between 15-20°C for supply to cold fixtures within the facility.
